Desktop boots Flash drive - Laptop won't

Greetings All,

...I have a laptop (Toshiba 3.2hhz, win xp pro) and have the same on my desktop.

...I have a bootable flash drive with a few Linux programs on it (programs not relevant in this discussion for the most part) and a "boot-loader" (Linux Live USB Creator) that when installed, gives the user the ability to run os's and programs from it instead of the hard drive that the flash drive is installed to.

...The flash drive works perfectly in the desktop but, even though recognized in the laptop as an icon in "My Computer", will not boot up....Now before you say it, YES, the bios has been changed to boot the usb flash FIRST, cdrom second, hard drive first.

...What could be the issue here?...OPINIONS?
