Hey all, I am mostly looking to buy a new video card and possibly upgrade my Ram to go with it.

Here are my PC specs

Processor -
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9300 @ 2.50GHz

Memory (RAM) -
4GB DDR2 @800

Graphics -
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+

Power Supply
- 650 W

Windows 7

Motherboard -
P5Q PRo Turbo

What is the best video card my computer can handle?
It seems to me that the Nvidea GTX 750Ti is possibly the best solution...?

Any recommendations? Should I upgrade or buy a new PC?

Upgrading your RAM will cost a lot because it's DDR2 and in short supply, so it's expensive.

You can upgrade the GPU to a GTX 750 Ti and you will notice a difference but if you can afford it I think I'd recommend upgrading to a newer system all together and maybe getting a card a bit faster than a 750 Ti (maybe a 760 or 770 or one of the new 9xx cards) to go with your new build. :good:

Before we can tell you what video card you can use, what is the brand and model number of the power supply? You can get another 4gb of memory for around $70 bucks so its not too bad. What brand and model of ram do you have currently? Some mix brands don't play well together.

Yeah you could upgrade to 8GB RAM and at $60 you might as well I guess if you want to keep this setup.

You should be fine then. You have a good brand power supply so depending on how much you want to spend for a video card, you would be able to get a decent high end card.

Thanks john, Could you recommend me a few cards that will be supported by my card.

I'm Willing to do a max of $300 for a card.

Edit* Would love to have a card that is compatible with 3D gaming and movies!

R9 280 or GTX 760 would be about highest with your budget. However, check your psu to make sure you have 8 pin power connections. Pretty sure you do though.
