Desktop folder

I am using xp-pro on a laptop and recently noticed a folder labled new images. I delete it, but when I reboot it comes back. I thought it may be spyware so I scanned with malwarebytes and avast and the folder is still there. Any comments on this??

Have you tried to look in the folder to see if the name is legit. Is it actually pictures?

If so, then it may be a folder that goes to a program that you are using, or possibly one used by a backup program or something like that.

If not, then try using system restore to move back to a point before it was on there.
