desktop freezes when using flash or playing games.

Hi all
I know posted something similar to this before, but I hadn't gotten a good fix for it.
My desktop has a toughpower, not sure on the PSU. XP, 2 Gig ram, amd x2 4600, dual radeon ati 1600.
my computer freezes up if I'm using a flash game on the web, any one, from OMGPOP to basic flash.
It freezes if I watch too many movies/videos
It freezes if I play a computer game
It doesn't matter if I mute anything or whatnot, as it can just freeze
The computer will run fine for days, if I just surf the web and do basic things, but the moment I do any of the above: freeze.
It can freeze at any time, either right after a cold boot, or after 3 days of running the desktop. The time it takes ranges, with the flash games/computer games being the shortest amount of time to freeze, and videos longer.
By freeze, I mean the keyboard/mouse locks up and the sound keeps repeating itself on the "stuck" section of the game/video/etc. Does that make sense?
I'm not sure where to start working: I've swapped ram modules, took out one video card, but that's about it.
Thanks in advance.

i agree with bomber in that it could easily be that one of your fans isnt running up to par or perhaps one of your heatsynks arent properly attached. it could also be your video driver, i reccomend that you uninstall the driver or updated it to the latest.
