Desktop GPU Mod For Laptop?

So I came across this while browsing at work:

Skimmed it, and looked at the pics. It looks pretty easy and straight forward. I can't read all of it, including the comments to see if it's actually worth doing/possible. What do you guys think? I'll check it out more once I get home, but want to know what you guys think.

I love projects like this, so I'm strongly considering it. I'm just wondering if it'll be that simple. I plan on upgrading my GPU this weekend anyways, so I'll have a spare 8800GT.

I just wonder if I can use my current laptop, which has two dedicated cards in it. Not sure if I have to have integrated graphics.
