I am new to this forum and have little knowledge about computers, but that is the reason i joined this forum, so i can learn more and expand my knowledge on computers.
Basically, I'm in year 10 going into year 11. Next year I am doing Design and Technology Multimedia. For this subject i need to have access to a computer.
My thoughts are to get a custom built computer (i have a mate that owns a computer building business). The computer will be used for design. The programs I will be using will be Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.
I was wondering what hardware will need to be included in this computer. I am willing to spend about $2500 all up including operating system (thoughts at the moment are for Windows 7) and programs such as the above (photoshop etc.) I can get these programs student edition so that should reduce the cost aswell.
Any advice, tips or general knowledge about computers will be appreciated.
