Desktop Icons coloured In

I turned on my computer and all the writting underneath the icons the background is all blue normally its transparent how can I cange it back?

Press the windows key and the pause break key at the same time to go into system properties. Select advanced...performance settings...and make sure there is a tick in the box for "use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop". Hit OK and that should do the trick.
