for some reason now when i open up my HD trailers, the pictures cant keep up and my computer slows way down

ive never had this problem before, any idea wht it could be ?

I mean , i have had up to 40 though before on thsi computer and I have never ahd problems with the picture keeping up with the audio

GPU?

From the start menu access the run program and run "dxdiag" (without quotes), then click the display tab an tell us whats under device. HD is Gpu dependent so a lower end Card wont turn up great results.

edit: Hd is also CPU dependent so it could be both.. In the directx diag tool the front page, system, should list your CPU.. why dont you tell us what your running there too?

LOOOOL, videos playback aren't related to GPU, mostly to CPU and ram also codecs.

not a good enough GPU, maybe?

God i think both of you should learn a bit more about videos and how to play them/what affect the play of a video.

maybe i need to free up some of the backup dvds i have on my computer,

i just know that i have played them before on this computer fine with no problems,
