Desktop not working, need help!

Okay, I have an emachines desktop which i got about 6 months ago. Today, when i went to turn it on, the green light came on like normal, then i turned the monitor on, but it said that there was no signal coming into the monitor.
When I turned the computer on, I heard the hard drive start up and the fan on the power supply is working.
I have no idea what's wrong. Can anyone help me?
 
What is the exact model number?

We'll be able to figure out if it has onboard graphics or a standalone graphics card and go from there.
 
Is most likely the power supply. I had an emachine and will never buy one again. I had two power supplies go in a matter of a year. I'm sure if you call their tech support, that's the first thing they will tell you and will offer to send you a replacement. If I were you, I would purchase my own because they are going mail you the same fail PSU that's in it now and their shipping will take 6-8 weeks.
