Desktop Price Estimation

Hello,

I'm interested in purchasing a desktop tower from someone, I've only ever built my own machines but I'm feeling lazy this time.

I would appreciate it if some of you could give me a rough estimate as to how much this desktop tower is worth.

It's a pentium duel core 2.7Ghz, 4GB ddr2 ram, Win 7 32-bit, 60GB hd.

My second concern is that there isn't a product key sticker on the tower, I've ran Linux for about 5 years now so I'm unfamiliar with which steps to take to retrieve a valid product key, are key finding software's very effective?

magic jelly bean can find your key. As for the worth, I would not say it is worth much. A couple hundred at most. 100-150 more reasonably.
 
Maybe I am reading this wrong but unless he is dual booting. A key finder will not find a windows key on a linux install.
 
I assumed that since he was asking he still had a windows install. That is kind of a prereq. to using a key finder. Otherwise you will have to buy a new copy of windows.
 
Salvage, I have ran Linux on my own systems not the one I want to buy.

This machine I want to buy has Windows 7, I want to familiarise myself with windows since I left M$ at Windows XP. I have used JB and other key finders on a friends system running windows 7 but the product key produced doesn't match the one on the side of his tower case, and I've read that entering this miss matched key produces an error?
 
As long as the key is installed and activated for that computer, its fine. In terms of value, may be 150 but i wouldn't pay more.
