Hi. Recently my pc has been acting up. There is no serious issue such as overheating or beep sound. It is just that I can only cold boot a pc after several tries each time. Meaning I can use as normal once it has been booted up. But the random success boot up is freaking me off. What is exactly the problem about. I also noticed that the cpu sometimes would not spin and the gpu fan spped is not brought down to normal speed when the pc fails to boot. A great thanks to anyone who can actually assist.

When you say "cold boot" does that mean that the random sucess of booting only happens after a few times of trying, or can it just randomly work first time? Also on a failed "boot" what happens? Nothing? Or does the computer come on and fail to load bios?

I had a similar problem once, and I found that the main power supply frm the PSU pluggin into the Board was loose/clip broken. Lol I short term fixed this just by tapeing the plug in. Have a look at that.

Is there anything that you did that would cause the system to act like that?

have you opened your computer up and exposed the components? might be ESD but its though to say. might also be your motherboard shorting out or your PSU not giving your computer enough juice.

whats your specs?
