When I build my new comp I was tinking of one of the X48 Dfi mb due to possibilty of crossfire,Oc'ing and reliability reviews.Flip side of this is people saying it can be overwhelming to a first timer .Is this true and I should look into another motherboard brand.What is another brand/model that is reliable and user friendly ? I plan to use either a q9550 or q9650 when intel cuts prices.Also would need to be one that I would not need to flash the bios as I wont have another cpu to do it with.
DFI Mb's and 1st time builders/overclockers?

DFI boards have massive overclocking features, if your a first time overclocker you probable wont even know what half the settings are, but saying that, you only have to change what you know that is common for overclocking and leave the rest at default. Later after your more experienced you can go back and fool around with the rest of the settings.
So to say it would be overwhelming is kinda false, you only have to change what you know you should be fooling with on a general overclock. I use Gigabyte on most of my builds, but DFI is as good quality as Gigabyte or Asus.
