Did I buy the wrong memory?

I have a Dell Dimension 8300 Desktop and was trying to upgrade my system memory. I know my computer takes DDR memory so I bought these:

2GB 2 X 1GB PC3200 DDR 400 PC 3200 2700 2100 MEMORY RAM

Here is a link for more details:
http://cgi.ebay.com/2GB-2-X-1GB-PC3200-DDR-400-PC-3200-2700-2100-MEMORY-RAM_W0QQitemZ110330199830QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item110330199830&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1234|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1309|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50

When I installed them in my computer and start up there is a loud beep one or two times and the computer will not start. I was told I need DDR memory for my system so I am not sure why these would not be compatible. Can someone tell me if I bought the wrong item? If so, what kind of memory should I get instead. I appreciate the help in advance.

Looks like you bought bad ram. I would have never bought that no name brand. i would have bought some corsair, kingston or something at least familiar. See if you can return it and get something different.

It's also a good possiablity that you bought high density ram of ebay and your computer only supports low density ram.
