Did I do this stage of reformatting my computer correctly?

This part of the reformatting practice has confused me, anyone help? -

I was reformatting my computer for practice after selecting everything then computer rebooted I pressed any key and got the following-

I pressed enter It said the following-

I chose install windows XP on a partition that contains another operating system. Instantly windows XP. This partiition might cause the other operatiing system to finction improperly.

CAUTION- Installing multiple operating systems on a single partition is not recommneded.


- to continue press C


- to select a different partition pess ESC

I pressed escape

I then pressed D from the above link and it said the following-

The partition you tried to delete is a system partition

System partitions may contain diagnostic hardware configuration programs, programs to start other mnanufactured supplied programs.

Delete a sytem partition if you are sure that it contains no such programs or if you are willing to lose them. Dleteing a system partition may prevent your computer from start the hard disk until complete installation.

To delete this partition press ENTER

Press ESC to go back

I pressed ENTER

then said You wanted to delete this partition on 29307MBDISK all ID 1 Bus 0



- To delete this partition press C

-Caution all date on this partition will be lost

- To return press ESC

I went to to C this time I think and it went to set up formatting stage again, then set up copying files stage again- Did i mess up?
