Did I fry my CPU

I was looking inside my computer (my dell... I have a computer at each of my houses..). I touched the heatsink and forgot to ground myslef. Now there is no moniter input but the fans and the hard drives work... I think i fried my cpu. Either that or my grphics card because i think the gold pins may have gotten bent. I dont really care as the PII i'm using right now runs faster because I shitted around with my dell to much. I'm just wondering if there is a way to find out if the cpu's fried or if its the graphic card. I still havent put it into the mobos vga slot but i'm too lazy. Also now I'm too scraed to build my next computer because I'm scared I might fry it also. Or should I face my fears

i... build on carpet.... and you know what... i havent ever friend anything, except one mobo cause i shoved the power connector in backwards before i knew anything about computers.... it was cool to see a small flame :D

they dont fit backwards, unless you cut off the restricting guides first

i think the gold pins may have gotten bent.

Hmmmm...yeah maybe he meant pci or agp....in which case he means he hasn't put the video card back in the mobo which would very well explain why his monitor isn't working.
