Hey guys

Listen up I've got a problem with my laptop. When I switch it on this is what it sais:

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\windows\system32\config\system

You can attempt to repair this file by starting windows setup using the original setup CD-ROM.
Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair.

I'm kind of a noob I admit, but how am i supposed to insert the setup cd's when it is in DOS. I really don't know what to do i've got so much things on that laptop I don't want to loose.

Even in dos the CD tray should still open. Open it, put the disk in then restart the computer. I should be setup to boot from disc first. If it doesn't do this press whatever F-key like F2 or F8 it says to open bios/boot options. Make it so it boots from disc first then restart the computer again.
