difference between 17" lcd dvi and analog input

hi guys, in 17" lcd usually it only use analog input right? and only some use dvi input.
so is there any difference between them? in performance or something else? or even its the same only the connector different?
 
DVI is digital, only difference, though a big difference that can make in certain situations. It offers the same performance, but on larger screens the difference between the two is noticeable, the digital connection coming out on top. A 17incher would probably notice little to no image quality improvement.
 
Do you know any good 17" lcd? I have that in mind because my vga only support dvi and i though to get a dvi lcd to make it compatible.
I've targeted a samsung syncmaster 732n plus or 743nx, what do you thinj?
