Difference between agp 4x and 8x?

My mother board supports up to agp 4x
I was looking at a nvidia geforce 6600 256mb video card, i believe it is 4x/8x
I was wondering the following,

A)Is this card able to run with an agp slot that is only 4x

B) How much "worse" will the card run if it is made for 8x but si also compatable with 4x. Will it make a drastic difference?

C)Is it worth getting a 6600 with a 4x agp slot or would something like a fx5700le work better.

D) Will it still allow me to play games like battle fo rmiddle earth and unreal 2k4
 
A) Yes

C) I'd stick with the 6600

D) Most likely

Note: You may need a better power supply if the one you are using right now is just enough for you. So you probably want to check that out before you buy.

a 6600 will need an extra power input but a 350W should be enough to sustain it and the rest of your computer.

no difference at all, i tried it out and ran 3dmark05 and the score is the same.
