Im trying to buy Vista Premium off of New egg but it says its an OEM for system builders only. What does this really mean and how is it different from the $230 they have at compusa?

OEM just means that it doesnt come with a fancy box and it doesnt have detailed instructions. OEM is suggested if you know what you are doing.

But installing an OS is so simple, that I would reccomend the OEM version to anyone who knows anything about computers, so thats your best bet

OEM - No support from Microsoft, cheaper

Retail - 2 supports from Microsoft, worth like $100 more.

Another thing also... I believe if you buy retail you got both the 32-bit and 64-bit version of the OS while if you buy OEM, you gotta choose which one you want.
