difference in interface speed between hd and mobo

Hi everyone, I have a question I hope you all could help me with.

Im replacing my dying WD 250gb Sata 3.0g/sec hd with a new WD caviar black sata 6.0g/sec h.drive. My motherboard is an Intel 975xbx that runs with the slower 3.0 g/sec interface speed.

My question is this: do I need to install a jumper on the new WD Black hard drive so it will run at the lower 3.0g/sec mobo speed?...or will the new WD black h.drive automatically adjust itself down to the mobo's 3.0 interface speed?

Thnx for your advice...

Which drive do you have?

Edit. never mind. It looks like you will need to put a jumper between pins 5 and 6 to set the speed to sata 2.
