difference in these two processors?

i was just scanning newegg looking at the wolfdale prices and i noticed this xeon duo core and it had the same specs as the e8400 can anybody tell me the difference? xeon: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117165 e8400: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037 so i couldn't find the difference so, maybe computer forum can

The first CPU is geared for Server applications, while the C2D is for Desktop-use.

It is confusing. They appear to be the same, just marketed differently. If you want the Xeon chip, you should check and see if your motherboard will support it.
