Difference of i5-3570k vs i5-2500k?

Hey,

So I was looking around at prices and such and I noticed NCIX is offering the i5-3570k for $219.99, while DirectCanada.com is offering the i5-2500k for $216.09. Knowing me, I would go with the 3570k, since the number is higher, therefore judging based on my thinking, it'd be better. However, I notice "Ivy Bridge" and "Sandy Bridge", what are the differences?

EDIT: Second that, It's $202.49 (The 3570k).

3570K is the newer version, ivy bridge takes the sandy bridge architecture, shrinks it to the 22nm die size and then they made a few small improvements. Because of the die shrink it also uses less power, but of course for some reason it doesn't overclock quite as well as the 2500k.

I don't plan to OC, or atleast not to extreme measures, should I go with the 3570k? Also, is it a "steal" at $202 + free shipping? I ask because I plan to buy my parts separately as they each go on sale, to simply save on money. Do processors tend to go on sale often?

it's a pretty good deal i guess, you can get a better one on newegg if you put it in a combo with a motherboard or something, but idk about the shipping for canada
