Hi,
I came to know that there are many versions of XP like
Home XP, Pro XP, Black XP, Crystal XP, Dark XP, Royale XP,......

So What is the differences between them?
(In want way they differ? Do they only differ as a diff Theme look)
And whats the Best XP version in all aspects of an OS?

Thanks.

The versions above mentioned like Crystal, Dark, etc. are the modified and hacked versions of the OS.....The difference will be in the way they provide functionality by changing registry values or adding additional tools!!

i guess this helps

The differences between the legit OS's of the same type are just features. The same principle applies with Vista. Basic is basic, home has slightly more featers, then home premium has more than that, and so forth.

That would be Basic, Business, Home Premium, Ultimate, and Enterprise for the different edtions of Vista as well as the 64bit versions.

XP Home and Professional are the original editions released in 2001 later to see the SP1 and SP2 followups. In 2005 the XP Pro enhanced or MCE edition as well as the first 64bit version of Windows XP Pro 64 came out. Those are the MS releases there.

The Pro edition offers more support for the networking environment over the Home edtion. With each edition there are always a degree of changes seen in the system registry while the main NT cored shell remains the same. XP and now Vista still use NTFS 5.0 first seen with 2000. XP Pro also comes retail with a second cd seeing the additional networking feature stored there.
