As far as I could tell from the reviews I read the xfx5850 black is just a factory OC.

Yes the XXX version is overclocked.

Yeah, they look the same, except for that one is clocked a bit higher. It's a waste to pay more for it. It won't make much of a difference, and if you really want the higher clock you can just overclock it yourself.
