diffrent companys = same card

Hi all,

i have a question reguarding diffrent companys making the same card.

for example...i have a Radeon 9600 pro made by Club....but because its not made directly from ATI does this mean they are diffrent in some ways like parts etc on the card and speeds?

Is the Gpu still the same as a normal Ati radeon 9600 pro?

Mine looks diffrent from a regular ati 9600 pro

Im just asking this because i was thinking about getting another Club card for my next pc as theyre quite good,Thats of course if Club will make the card i want.

Yea there the same GPU, they just use different brand memory and transistors, but I,ve never used a Club so I could not tell you much about there quality

The chip makers Nvidia and ATi make the GPUs and its the job of the card manufacturers to put it all together, that is what distinguishes brands from another, because one would opt for lower or higher latency GRAM or decide to use solid state caps instead of the electrolytic ones. The generals rule of thumb is the higher quality components used, the higher the price, Gigabyte, I know like to use solid state capacitors on their graphics card and even their motherboards.

but I,ve never used a Club so I could not tell you much about there quality

apparently they only use the best quality parts for their cards,Well thats what it says on the back of the box anyway.

They are good cards imo,I would definatly buy another one from them.
they have the 8800GTX now too :)

thanks for explaining guys :)

I've never heard about this: The company that makes Radeon card makes GeForce cards too! Is it right what you say?
