I recently got a Sony DCR-TRV480 DV camcorder....

Now, my question is after I've gotten the 'raw footage' onto my computer how do i break it apart into clips...I've gotten a copy of Sony Vegas 6.0 but i can't figure out how to break the video apart  ...any responses would be appreciated...

thanks ;)

yes, but I believe you can only split it in half, or in 3rds and so on in movie maker....but I'd like to 'clip' out sections of video...

I'm quite sure you can do more than that with Windows Movie Maker, but I raelly don't like it :P I use Premiere, but it's not a free prog :P

Ulead has some decent editing software. Well, back when I used 3.0. Again, too simple for my taste anymore...
