Dimmed Video Players

basically you can see a very daint outline of what you are watching(with that screenshot it is hard to see anything, but its there and its playing), this happens with all players except quicktime. It seems like the brightness and contrast were turned down(but thats not the case). It just happened suddenly, not sure what caused it or how to fix it, please help, thanks
 
No screenshot showing here... But I think I know your problem. Quicktime and other players use different video overlays. I'm quite sure the problem lays somewhere in your advanced video setup. Most video cards allow you to adjust the video overlay of your computer.
 
I found the overlap settings and messed around with those, it didnt fix the problem

ps. are u sure thats what it is, b/c i never changed anything, it just happend seemingly by itself, could i have downloaded something by accident that did this
