Direct3d9

I felt that this would be a good place to post this problem because it deals with Direct3D9, which is a graphics program and this is about video cards. After installing the game Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, I try to launch the game and get an error message as follows:

"Status:0x00000040 at :0: Error initialising Direct3D9"

Can anyone help me or link me to a site that could help me with this problem?

Try to download the latest version on Direct X 9 on the Microsoft website and install it again. (if you have already)

Hmm I tried that earlier and nothing happened, but then I just went back and reinstalled it again and it worked! Thanks for the help =)
