My brother wants to install a game on our computer at home which requires DirectX9.0c. I thought we already had the latest version of Directx, but I suppose I must have been mistaken, because when I go to Start>run: Directx, nothing happeneds. However, the CD for the game comes with the actual software, which we have repeatedly tried to download with no success. It's possible the software may just be an update to earlier versions of Directx, but I don't think so, because it's intended for computers with no DirectX whatsoever. I'm running XP home right now, and I'm sure the software is inteneded for this OS. Thanks for the help.
