Disable the Compress old Files feature..?

Is there a way so I can fully disable the Compress old Files feature on XP?

Don't check the box? AFAIK that is the only way...

Woah! Thats alot of space from compressed files!

Click the options button, and it brings up a menu asking how long to wait before compressing old files, change it to something like 1000 days, and it wont compress them for almost 4 years
