Disable the headphone jack

When i went to pull out my headphones the jack broke off inside, i still want speakers to work though. is there a way to disable the headphone jack/headphone sensor so the speakers of the laptop will work. (Yes i know i could buy a USB Audio output and attach speakers, but then what is the point of the notebook)

One of the only ways i can think of would be to take it apart and cut the wires inside. Otherwise, you would have to try and pull the jack out.

Burger has a point on this one. You can simply open it up and cut it or try and pull it out. Best thing would be to turn it off and take it out and look at it. If you can possibly get it out do so if not take the jack out and put a new one in you can usually get replacements online or even at radioshack!
