Disable UAC for certain programs?

UAC always prompts me to allow fraps to open... I know why it does it, but can I disable it?

I'm running it in Compatibility mode for XP SP2, and as an Admin with full control.

Is this Vista or 7? In 7 if you type uac into the Start Menu you can change the UAC settings, but as far as I know you can't "trust" certain programs with it. Maybe with Win8 that may be possible, but not now. I simply disable UAC altogether, it's too annoying on any level.

Vista Home Premium 64.
not quite sure if I want to disable UAC though...
It may be annoying, but it really would save you against a lot of viruses, malware, etc.

Disable UAC entirely. It's useless and acts like the end user is a complete retard. Use a proper antivirus like MSE or something.

The best defence against viruses is most often common sense... I'm sure you don't go opening all attachments in your emails before you even read them, install anything that pops up like toolbars etc. UAC is protection for those that lack common sense.

+1
UAC was touted as one of Vista's most annoying features, and I was very queasy about buying 7 until after I read 30+ articles about disabling UAC in 7.
