Disconecting problems

My laptop keeps disconecting..It keeps asking for my ip address? Have no idea what this is..I keep wondering if someone is conecting to my internet.Sometimes the conection bars are full.Othertimes is only 2 bars...Can someone help me please...Thank you.....

It sounds like you might have malware or a problem with your router.

Can you explain better of the message you are getting? It shouldn't be asking you what your ip address is. It automatically gets an IP address from the router.
