Hey guys, i keep getting a disk boot error on my other computer..i insert the system disk and nothing goes..
The drives are not being detected..neither primary or slave
But they spin up.
what should i do?
Are they BOTH gone ?

Try them in a different system. Or try using a different HDD if you have a spare on that system. If they work in a different system then its not the drives obviously.

did you connect the IDE cables on? reset the bios by taking out the battery, and try another IDE cable (yes cables can be faulty...) and are you surre your not putting a ATA133 drive in a ATA100 cable?

It's the same cable. Only ATA33 uses a different one (40 wire for ata33 vs 80 wire for 66->133). If the problem is not with the cables and the drives themselves are working then the BIOS is the only place left. Have you checked that the hard drives are in the boot order and are either being detected or are properly setup?
