Disk Read Error

when i try to fire up my secondary hdd it comes up with this.. A disk read error has occured.. is my hard drive shot or can i fix this?

Try running chkdsk on it.

If you just plonked it in from taking it from another pc i might just need formatting, but if been in yours and worked before it well may be shot, do a chkdsk as voyerfan99 suggested to fine out for sure
