hey i have a dvd combo drive in my computer and a dvd burner......can i copy directly from a dvd in the combo drive to the dvd-r ? without having to copy it to the hard drive first? (btw just backing up my dvd's arggggg against piracy)
Nero Burning ROM will do 'on the fly' dvd/cd copying. It recommends that the reading speed of the combo drive is at least twice the writing speed of the dvd burner.
With "on the fly" burning, you can run into problems such as greater error rates and such. Unless you have no other way of doing things, I would advise you to not use that otptio (as Praetor suggested).
