Display goes black at logon screen - HP dv6000

Hi people,
I tried searching the forum but since nothing I found actually resembled the problem I'm having I decided to start a new thread.
I have a dv6000 series laptop and whenever I try to start windows normally, the screen goes black seconds after the logon screen comes up! It doesn't do this whenever I start it in safe mode and I have also tried to use the "last known good configuration" and start in lower resolution to no avail.... Any ideas or suggestions? If you need any other info, let me know! Thanks!
 
boot into safe mode,
right click computer and select manage
goto device manager
expand video adapters
right click and unistall video adapter
reboot

what happens?
 
Yeh my friend had a hp laptop, it froze on startup every time, after he rebooted it once, all the problem was is that there was a sd card In the sd card slot., somehow preventing it from booting properly.
I have absolutely no idea whether this is any help.
