I was searching for a display manager but to no avail.
I have an extra display for my computer that is connected only sometimes and windows xp has a hard time figuring out the proprer configuration for the displays when i add the extra one
(it mixes the drivers for my primary display with the extra one and dont recognize the displays properly making it necessary to reconfigure the main display again).
Do you know a program that manages multiples displays making it more viable to connect and disconnect displays on the computer?

Thank you for the suggestion, but the program didnt work(it basicaly took the mixed up configuration from the windows xp).
Do you know what could be happening?

Not sure what your asking. is the screens split between two monitors?
Do the two monitors work? You will have to explain in more detail about the mixed configuration part.
 
After connecting the secondary monitor, windows xp mixes up what display is which.
For example: i have the primary monitor(a) and the secondary(b) and windows xp recognizes monitor a as b, vice versa and sometimes it recognizes the monitors as been generic ones even with both monitors drivers installed.
The mix up only started happening when i connected the secondary monitor for the first time, xp has a hard time detecting which monitor is which now that the computer had two different monitors connected to it.
