hey
does any1 know what size resistor i need to go from the 12v power from the PSU to a 7.5V for a playstation 1 display thats mounted in the case?

well,... sort of..


anyway, you need a transformator for the voltage,. you cant do it with a resistor, like dragon said.
 
You might want to use a three-terminal regulator instead, Resistors only work for a fixed current load and seeing as your giong from 12v to 7.5v, thats gonna be changing the cutrrent to, as V&I are indirectly proportional.

Can you tell us what current your dealing with, im guessing its not that high, if it isnt then a system of diodes might be easier.........
