I am running Windows 7 (64 bit) have an ASUS Radeon HD 4350 Silent video card and recently purchased a Hanns-G HH-231HPB 23" Widescreen Full HD LCD monitor. I am unable to get my system to utilize the full LCD screen when I use the HDMI connection on the monitor. Approx 1 inch areound the whole boarder of the lcd panel remains black. I tried using an HDMI to HDMI cable, and a DVI to HDMI cable and the problem remains. I couldn't try DVI to DVI as this monitor only has 2 inputs (HDMI and VGA). If I use the VGA to VGA cable, the problem disappears. I have downloaded the latest drivers for my vid card and installed the most recent ATI Catalyst Control Center software (version 2010.0202.2). I am told that this is a "scaling" problem and that if I change the scaling to zero (presumably a setting in my video card software), this might get rid of the problem. However with my version of ATI Catalyst Control, I do not see where I can adjust scaling. Any suggestions are appreciated.
