Ok. Now I have this Dutch customer who bought a Dlink Router from Holland and brought it here to his villa where he wants to install it in a nearby office so he can pick up their signal. Sounds simple enough.
I hear that with routers ALL you need to do it plug an ethernet cable from the modem to the router and you're done. Well, that didn't work. His laptop can connect to the dlink signal but 'page cannot be displayed' comes up. Additionally in the router setup page it says 'your internet connection could not be detected'. So, I tried some things with the setup, like changing the routers IP, turning off DHCP and also an option called 'relay'. None of these worked when tried together OR individually. I have also tried doing EVERYTHING by the manual and install CD, setting it up with the office's ISP PPPOE username and p/w.. Nothing.
The make of the wireless modem in the office in USR, maybe there is some sort of compatibility issue with dlink?
If anyone has any ideas or help I'd be very grateful.
Thanks in advance.
