I have a lite-on cd writer. Now the problem is that it's a 52x32x52x but i can't burn @anything more than 16x, otherwise the cd skips or some songs seem to play but with no sound? What exactly might the poblem be????
I have a CD-RW I use in my car. It works great when I burn to it using Deep Burner... However, I tried Sonic's burning software that came with my Compaq, and it skipped every second though the disk!
So...software might make a difference. I havn't bothered trying a slower speed, but i'm quite sure it burned at the same speed DeepBurner typically ran at.
The disks are kinda cheap.(Afa) but there 52x. I've burned using them before on a friends computer and it worked fine. Allthough his was a better computer. Burning @16x works, the disks play flawlessly it just takes more time.
At lower burn speeds, the actual data track is burned a little deeper, wider. This enables older CR readers to accurately track and pull data off the CD where a narrower, shallower track may not show well enough to the reader.
In other words, it may be that your car's player is just old and myopic.
