do i have to use 64-bit software?

it seems like hardware wont function without 64-bit drivers. i was wondering if the same goes for software. i've redownloaded alot of software to get the x64 versions...

itunes (for ex)

but what about the stuff that doesn't have 64-bit ver available? will the old software still work?

As long as the software is 32bit(not 16) it should work fine, take most games for example, (almost) all games are 32 bit, because alot of hardware out there is running a 32 bit operating system. The "old" 32 bit software should work without a hitch, i havent had any problems running 32 bit software and im running vista x64
