Can we get a full system spec please. DOwnload PC WIzard and run it (from my sig). Then go to file save as, click ok and copy the text out of that file into this thread.
We also need to know what Power Supply Unit you have. Please remove the side of the computer and record the model and brand of your PSU (there is a sticker on the side).
As the 3D graphics score is higher than the 2D, it is not going to be a driver or software. However I would recommend doing the following:
in the Windows search field (start button) type:
cmd
right click on cmd and Run as Administrator
the command tile will appear
at the cursor, type (with space)
sfc /scannow
this will ensure all secure windows files are in tact.
I acutally think this is a heat issue. My guess is you have a really cheap PSU that is struggling. I also think that given that the temps in Georgia are around 92F, you are simply seeing a PSU struggling to provide clean stable 12V rail. (heat makes things much worse)
So in summary:
- Run sfc /scannow
- Check that there is no dust in the computer - clean with a tin of compressed air (not the vacume cleaner)
- Point a house fan on the open computer side and see if that helps
- Download PC WIzard and run as described above and update this thread with PSU and computer specs and let us know if anything improved.
My guess, - new PSU needed - especially if a new (better) GPU is added.
