Do I need to uninstall vista, or.....

Do I need uninstall vista so that I can re-install to use on the same machine? Why I ask is b/c I am concerned that the product key won't work due it already been entered in once. Is there anything That I should be careful of when doing this?

You can do that without reformating the disk? I want to wipe the slate totally clean so as I can get rid of the problems I have been having. I don't need to back anything up as it has only been running for a week. Cheers
