Do I need to?

Right I'm reformatting my PC soon because it's a wreck and I'm making a custom CD of all my drivers as the Gigabyte one is hopelessly out of date. I have an X-Fi, so do I need the Microsoft UAA drivers? Or because I've disabled my onboard are they obsolete?

If you are not using the on-board sound, you do not need the drivers for it. Just get the drivers for your X-Fi.
