Do sound cards have HPF?

I know some have low pass filters for the subwoofer, but I havent seen one with a high pass filter. Is there any that do? I ask, because I just bought some 2.0 speakers from walmart, that I really like. But at high volumes the bass is just too much for the little 3 inch drivers so I was thinking of putting in my own amplified 10 inch subwoofer and I would want a high pass filter on the speakers so I can turn them up louder.

Most cards will come with a software suite that you can set a filter/crossover with.

My STX II driver software allows me to set a filter ranging from 50hz to 250hz

Hmmm. Ill have to look more closely before I buy a card then. Because I didnt see anything about HPFs when I looked at cards on newegg.
