Do you always have to install newer drivers?

I am about to install a 6200 into an older rig to do basic gaming. Will I have to find more recent drivers online for this card? If so, should I even install the drivers that come with the GPU? Thanks

So the nVidia drivers correspond with an entire series of cards? For example, the 8000 nVidia driver works for all the 8000 series cards?

Another question. In what order should I do this, install the drivers first, or the card then the drivers? Thanks

On their website it has drop down menus from what card you have. If the card isn't supported anymore I would just use the one that came with the card.

Install your computer drivers and then the card driver if thats what you are asking.

It's always best to go with the latest drivers you can find - as well as increasing performance, they also fix any annoying bugs and problems.
In your case I would try and find drivers on the net from a 3rd party source.

You mean uninstall the computer drivers and then install the GPU drivers?

No, I think he meant install the motherboard drivers first, which you probably already have and then install the video drivers next.

Okay I installed the disc drivers, opened wow and it ran okay. So i went to the above link and i dont think the driver install did anything different.
