Do you think i will see a difference in games going from an IDE 100 to SATA 300?

I currently have a Seagate IDE 100mb/s 2MB cache hard drive. its on ly 120 gigs. Do you think i will see a performance difference, like frames per sec going to a WD 250GB SATAII 300mb/s 16MB cache?

I would say yes becouse it can access the data faster

Not FPS but in loading times.

Loading times will be faster. Also, if you edit video, etc. you will see a very noticeable difference.

You will see some performance from the increase in cache but your FPS will not be affected. Sustained transfers will be similar unless you are moving to a faster drive (ie. 5400RPM->7200RPM)
