i also have to add the fact that the 360 only costs 400$, compared to a 1000$ comp...if u are my age with no job its kinda hard to get enough money to stay with computers, while the xbox is one payment of 400$ which'll last u for probly 4-5 years

I think thats a very good point. For someone of my age or georgedudes age who doesnt have a job with a consistent flow of money coming in. Its then hard to keep up with the newest technology.

This is a good point indeed. A PC does much more then just play games and much more then the 360 however. If your just looking to play games though and your budget is low then the console is the way to go. I have nothing against console gamers. I was a console gamer for many years, last console I purchased was the PS2. If I where to purchase a console today it would be the 360 obviously as the PS3 is not out yet :P. But I'd seriously be interested in the 360. I'm a PC guy though and I doubt I'll buy one.

I read an interesting article today in MAXIMUM PC that really rang a bell. Seems consoles are getting more like PC's in a bad way yet PC gaming is actually getting more stable as time goes on. Consoles are now becoming so much like PC's they are shipping with buggy units, buggy games, heating issues are higher then in the old days.

me, i only talk about it because it hasnt arrived and i want to know what it is like. australia is behind times

I can see that happening but to certain extent.

360 is awesome. XBox Live for it is really cool too, you can download game demos (try before you buy), themes, classic games, XBox Live arcade games, movie trailers, music, the 360 can also stream videos and music from your PC.

I have:

Premium bundle
1 wireless controller
charge & play
Perfect Dark Zero
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
Project Gotham Racing 3
Need For Speed Most Wanted (completed)
Tony Hawks American Wasteland (completed)

Xbox 360 will rock the ps3 (it already does)

The Xbox 360 will be focused on online gaming which rocks...yeh
but the ps3 will b focused on single player gaming...

so...
if you like to play with yourself get a ps3 but if u like playing with others get the darn 360 NOW (no joke intended)

This statement isn't entirely true. Firstly, just because the 360 has live doesn't necessarily mean that every game will take advantage of it. Secondly, there has been talk of so-called "playstation live" which is for online gaming however it hasn't been confirmed yet.

I own a xbox 360, I love the graphics and games, they are great... although I have had troubles with it reading the disc sometimes and I have already heard other people having similar problems with the 360, but all around, its a great console. The original xbox was great too.

I personally prefer to use a console for gaming, although my computer has got great specs for gaming, I prefer to leave that to a console and leave my pc just for internet, etc... that many less things installed and eating up my hard drive space....

Another nice thing about using a console is that there is none of that cd key/serials crap either and the fact that you can rent games and try them out first too if you like.

I have always been a Xbox person, even though its a microsoft product, I've never much liked Sony's Playstation and probably never will.
Besides, eventually most good games come out for every console, including PC anyways.

if anything, i'd wait to waste money on the ps3. the 360 is unimpressing to say the least. this is coming from someone who has played video games all the way back to the atari over 20 years ago (i feel old :(), especially if you don't have a $2000 tv to play it on. the graphics aren't great, compared to pc's, and they look only slightly better than an xbox's on less than hdtv's. the graphics are meant to be super sharp resolution and anti-aliased, but it lacks in graphics punch. i haven't seen a game yet that really impressed me.

There OKAY. Nothing great. A satisfactory computer will easily out do the 360. Its cool and such, but nothing great. IT is basicly like a newer version of the Xbox. Nothing that defines it as great.

Dont want a 360. Id rahter wait for the ps3. Way better graphics. Just go watch the Kill Zone trailer.

You dont know that, all game trailers look great before they come out. Ecspecially on a console that hasnt been realesed yet. Its really stupid when people say the PS3 graphics are better because nobody really knows for sure. So when the PS3 comes out then we can compare the grpahics.

Also the PS3 is gonna be really expensive.

Question. Can anyone take a screenshot of the XBOX360 for me too see? Cause I"m about to go get one too as well.

I actually have a video of Fight Night Round 3 on google video, put its terrible quality. So if you wanna see the graphics it wont help, but the gameplay is cool.
